Before I unpacked my easel, when painting the West Coast of Scotland. You would have found me standing still Mentally I'm painting and watching the bright green sea swirl and the cream waters breaking. Every mood, every moment, every state of mind can become a part of a maritime painting no matter how unrestrained. What you feel has an expression in where you are and how you see it. Here on the West Coast of Scotland there's a wild yet peaceful beauty that moves from joyful rainbows to the threatening squalls.. Some time later. Sitting still whilst painting I find myself unconsciously breathing to the the steady rise and fall of the swell
A kaleidoscope of colour, inlets, skerries and clouds sweep across the Loch
