Lingholm is the large estate and house on the West shore of Derwentwater. It was the holiday home home where Beatrice Potter spent seven summer holidays and where she wrote and illustrated many off her famous children's stories including Peter Rabbit. Later Lord Rochdale transformed the site into its current form of a Victorian mansion. The house now a grade 2 listed building has recently been purchased and is being refurbished and restored by the Seymour family under the enthusiastic leadership of David Seymour.

Commissioned by The Sutcliffe family. Focussing on the West Pennine Moors a favourite place for the families walks the Burnt Moor Commission made using oils on a large solo, portrait canvas 2 metres by 1,5 metres. The work was specially made on canvas to be presented in a large space in a contemporary, converted, Engine room in a historic 19th Century Cotton Mill. The focus of the work was the area of interchange between the high Winter Hill Moorland and high pastures, Smithills Moor and Burnt Moor. The main vision was the amazing view from the Moor of the Mersey basin. The narrative, the contrast between the wild open space of nature and its towering cumulo nimbus clouds that dominate the vast Mersey basin and the man made sprawl of Bolton and Greater Manchester Below - oil and pen sketches.

Commissioned by the Grant family. Portuarik has a special place in the familial ties of the family with this wild and wonderful coast. Measuring over a metres square the scene captures the rock pools explored and the feeling of space on the Ardnamurchan peninsular. Oil on canvas.
