The Grane is one of the more atmospheric northern valleys in the West Pennine Moors sweeping down from the high moors above Accrington to end still high above the vale of Rossendale. Couple this with its history of lost villages, gin distillers and desolute stone quarries . This painting takes the viewer on a flight through Ogden, Calf Hay Holden Clough. Its a great place for walks through a range of pasture wood and morr past gushing streams and derelict farms and villages.
