I sheltered in the old boat house to make this painting. One of a series from the same spot. The day had started as a second downpour but by 11am Derwentwater began transforming herself into a world of diamonds as the sun burnt its way through the wraiths of mist. That's the beauty of being in Lakeland even the bad days are good.
