Pillar Rock is a steep outcrop attached to Pillar Fell and a serious outing classed as a moderate climb. When undertaken as part of the Mosedale Horseshoe its a great English mountain day out. Visually for me its up there with Striding Edge and Sharp Edge when done as a part of the Wasdale Horseshoe an iconic ridge.
